New therapies?

I have been thinking of additional therapies for Drake and wondered if people out there could tell me which they really loved and really made an impact?

I don't think we can do ABR due to the logistics of that one, but I have been inspired reading success stories of those who do ABR.

I am most interested in the Anat Baniel method and HBOT. Also, craniosacral therapy. Anyone with experience in those? Any others I may not know about?

We have completed 40 HBOT sessions for our son as well as bi-weekly cranial manipulation with a D.O. and have witnessed improvements. He is 17 months old and just started walking independently this week!

I created a blog to document standard and alternative therapies for CP, links to the topics you are thinking about are below.

Don't have any experience with those, but we are looking into water therapy (to provide some resistance to those muscles!)

I give a fair assessment of some of the alternative techniques. You will know if and when one is right for your family. Barbara

I feel that CME (Medek) has given my daughter her mobilty and allowed her to become more stable on her feet. There are some links on our blog you can check out.

Hang in there it is difficult not knowing what the future will bring. My daughter is four and was a 25 weeker and is still indiagnosed but has very delayed gross motor skills. She began crawling at 17mths and walked at 32mths. Despite her gross motor delays she can talk you ear off with all her infinite knowledge.
